NMSU to host forums for graduate school dean finalists

New Mexico State University will host three forums beginning this week featuring the finalists for the graduate school dean and associate provost for international affairs position.

Each forum will be from 1:30 to 3 p.m. in Corbett Center Student Union, Room 304. The forums may also be viewed online at https://nmsu.zoom.us/j/82574454126.

The dates are as follows:

• Thursday, Nov. 30: Ranjit Koodali, professor of chemistry and former associate provost for research and graduate education at Western Kentucky University.

• Tuesday, Dec. 5: Maria-Claudia Tomany, associate provost for research, curricula and academic policy and dean of the Graduate School at St. Cloud State University.

• Thursday, Dec. 7: Rene Zenteno, professor in the Department of Sociology and Demography and former vice provost for international initiatives at the University of Texas at San Antonio.

“We have candidates with diverse sets of skills,” said NMSU College of Engineering Dean Lakshmi Reddi, chair of the search committee. “I invite all offices on campus to be engaged in their presentations. The candidates’ presentations will help us match their skills with our needs and priorities.”

The Graduate School dean and associate provost reports directly to the NMSU provost and is responsible for the development, administration and promotion of the Graduate School and international programs. Additional information may be viewed on the search website.
